Our final session saw us putting our learnt skills into practise by playing a game. We had so much fun - here are a few clips of each of us taking the bat.

Our Christmas Nativity

Welcome to our Christmas play. We always produce an annual Nativity where we join forces with class 2 and perform together both in school and then again in church. This year was very different but the next few clips show our performance- no parent audience this year due to Covid restrictions but we have filmed the scenes as well as our beautiful enthusiastic singing. We hope you enjoy it. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Peaceful 2021. Regards Mr Spencer, Mrs Taylor and Miss Jukes.

An angel comes to visit Mary to tell her exciting news

Soldiers tell Mary and Joseph they have to go to Bethlehem to be counted

Off to Bethlehem with Mary travelling on a donkey

It was a long long way

The weary travellers arrive to find a very busy town

Two kind inn keepers let them stay in their stable

Meanwhile some shepherds were looking after their sheep

It was chilly in the fields that night but luckily they had a cosy fire to warm their toes by.

An angel came to visit the shepherds that night

She was soon joined by her friends and they spoke of a special baby who had been born in a stable in the town of Bethlehem.

It was such a quiet and peaceful stable when they arrived with their lambs

Far away in the east three kings saw a very bright star

They decided to follow that star and riding on their trusty camels they travelled to Bethlehem.

They arrived at the stable and presented their gifts

Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh.

A Christmas prayer

Let the celebrations begin

What a special time of year this is when we remember that special baby

Merry Christmas and a Happy 2021

Putting up the tree continues

Putting up the Christmas tree

All the children were so keen to help - thank you the tree looks amazing and Mrs Taylor did not alter it one bit.

Physical development and maths

Jemima and Joseph practise throwing and catching as well as develop that important maths skill of subitising (recognising amounts without counting)

That Big Red Combine Harvester never stops working

Autumn leaves - a particular favourite of Harry

Harvest songs

Unfortunately no whole school Harvest Festival this year but we have performed our favourite Harvest songs for you.

Performing our Jolly Phonics songs at the Music Ensemble

We learn these songs as part of Listening Games (discrete phonics sessions). This is one of the ways in which we learn in a multi sensory way which helps some of the children remember their taught phonemes.
